Blinded by rage; enemies lie within.
Finally, the last story for SixWordStories's 7 Deadly Sins Project! This week's sin, if you couldn't tell from the title, is wrath.
First things I think of when I hear wrath are fire and rage. For whatever reason, for the story for wrath, I really wanted to make it about a masochist. I guess I wanted that because sometimes we feel so much rage towards ourselves that sometimes we don't even realize it. So, I did write it about a masochist; I made it about a person who is terrified of fire, but finds joy in the pain and terror from fire. So ultimately, the person in the story gets burned to death. Or, you could take it from a figurative standpoint where he is consumed by wrath (the flames could be metaphors for wrath) and things like that. It's up to you to think whatever you'd like to think.
And lastly, but not least, If you happened to notice, the very first line of the description is a six word story also. It was my original idea for wrath, but I decided that I think it fits better as an end piece to sum up all of the 7 deadly sins.
There's a story that's called Symmetry. The first time I heard it was from a youtuber named Cryaotic (found here www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoId6l… ) but it's actually written by always_through (found here www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comme… ). Basically, it's about a man who's obsessed with symmetry. He has this problem where he has two different colored eyes, but he can't stand it. So he gouges out both of his eyes. I imagine him like a sort of masochist. And for whatever reason, I really like this story. I wanted to write my 6WS based off of it for wrath, but instead it just inspired the first sentence of the description. But, I kind of like that one too.
